![]() ![]() Alas, not everyone has the time, patience or inclination to do this, and Darkest Dungeon's idea of being a difficult & punishing experience is to force the player to either read a guide, or trial/error their way to learning the intricacies, which makes it easy for people to get sour when it also involves permadeath and punishment. So many complaints in reviews are things anyone can overcome if they stick with it and actually learn. When I see that word, I think of the people who tried it, got stomped, and post a review rather than try to overcome it, just like a lot of old reviews for vanilla Darkest Dungeon. For starters, it heaps the most knowledge-req on people compared to the others, with the knowledge-curve (ignorance) being the biggest killer in the game. Every other paid DLC is good.īeing 'good' and being 'disliked' are two completely different conversations.Ĭrimson Court is a very good DLC, but it further compounds certain things that make people complain about Darkest Dungeon even at a basegame level.
